I have been sewing since the tender age of 7. I went to University of Florida,
then Fashion School. I have always loved fashion, & the use of old textiles.
To me, going to the thrift store, "junkin," is my joy, passion, medicine, & happiness. I love to find diamonds in the rough. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than to find an item,jewelry/clothing & transform it into my artistic expression.
Usually I get "Why did you buy that?"
I use things that nobody wants & re-make it into something pretty.
Its not only fun, its ecologically helpful.
I buy goods that are over flowing in second hand stores & give them new life.
All of my goods are thoroughly washed & hung or thrown into the dryer.
If they make those two last steps then I use them.This makes taking care of your items easier.
Most of my items are one of a kind due to the nature of the materials.
Its like wearing a little piece of art. You can own something that is uniquely hand-made,that no one else will possess!
